Birmingham police arrested two men wanted on outstanding warrants Tuesday following a chase that ended in a two-vehicle crash in Homewood.

Around 5 p.m., officers attempted to make a traffic stop in Southside to serve warrants against its two occupants. The driver refused to pull over and a chase ensued.

The pursuit ended when the suspects' vehicle hit two parked cars then an occupied vehicle on Roxbury Road near downtown Homewood. The two men were taken into custody then transported to the hospital for observation. Two people inside the other car involved in the wreck were taken to the hospital to be treated for unknown injuries.

According to Sgt. Johnny Williams, the driver arrested was wanted on outstanding drug warrants and the passenger was wanted on robbery and attempted murder warrants.

The suspects' names have not yet been released.
