BIRMINGHAM - AL -

There's a warning for children and pregnant women in Birmingham.

If you live near the Birmingham Walter Coke Plant, you are encouraged to get tested for lead poisoning. Blood tests will be given to those near the 35th Avenue superfund site. That includes the Harriman Park, Collegeville and Fairmont neighborhoods.

The Jefferson County Department of Health will do the test at the Harriman Park Recreational Center from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23.
