Birmingham Police identify suspect in homicide investigation

Birmingham, AL - Birmingham Police now have a suspect in custody in connection with a homicide that happened early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred in the 1700 block of 26th Street Ensley around 12:30 AM Saturday. Detectives identify the suspect as 19-year-old Justin Quinn of Birmingham. Police say a Capital Murder warrant was obtained against Quinn for the death of 38-year-old Nathaniel Taylor also of Birmingham.

Quinn is being held without bond in the Birmingham City Jail and is awaiting transfer to the Jefferson County Jail.
