Tuscaloosa police recover over $100,000 in stolen property

39 year old Brandon Patrick Lightsey of Tuscaloosa was arrested and charged with 4 counts of Receiving Stolen Property 1st Degree in the 1700 block of Crescent Ridge Road on July 11. He was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending a $120,000 bond.

Investigators with the Tuscaloosa Police Department and Tuscaloosa County Sherriff's Office responded to the 1700 Block of NE Crescent Ridge Rd just after 2pm on July 11 after receiving information about possible stolen property on the premises. Investigators had been working on multiple theft cases involving landscaping equipment, contractor equipment, trailers, earth moving equipment, and an RV. They recovered over $100,000.00 worth of stolen property from multiple jurisdictions.

The investigation is still ongoing and additional charges may be added as the investigation unfolds. The Hale County Sherriff's Office also assisted in the investigation.
