Posted: Updated:

Court records show developments in the case against two Moulton men accused of kidnapping a woman from a house.

According to court records, Scotty Ray Smith has waived his rights to a hearing and Panagiotis Theodoroy has a preliminary hearing scheduled for next month.

Investigators say Smith and Theodory entered the home of a 94-year-old man on March 31 and robbed him. During the robbery, two other victims entered the house.  The three victims were held, two of the men were tied up and the suspects took the woman to her home. Investigators say they transported her to her home , took property, and later dropped her off in Calera.

Smith's case will now go straight to the grand jury for indictment. Theodory has a preliminary hearing on July 24 at 9 a.m.
