Birmingham police investigating fatal shooting of 26-year-old man near Center Point

BIRMINGHAM - AL -

Birmingham police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened near Center Point just before midnight Thursday.

Officers were called to a residence at 2964 Gallant Drive on a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, police found 26-year-old Corey Jordan lying on the floor inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound. Rescue crews pronounced Jordan deceased a short time later. 

Police are investigating the victim's death as a homicide. They have yet to make an arrest or file charges in the case.
