Police searching for 2 suspects wanted in armed robbery of an east Birmingham Subway

Police continue to search for two suspects wanted in connection to an armed robbery at an east Birmingham Subway on Monday.

At approximately 9 a.m., two suspects entered the Subway located at 433 Huffman Road and proceeded to demand money from the store's employees.

One of the suspects, wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, black hat and armed with a handgun, struck one of the employees with the gun before forcing the worker to open the cash register. After grabbing an undisclosed amount of money, the second suspect, wearing a blue shirt, jeans and black sunglasses, sprayed mace on the employees before both suspects fled the scene in a white Ford Contour.
