Posted: Updated:

Atlanta Braves rookie Evan Gattis landed on the disabled list with a strained oblique.

The injury occurred in the 7th inning of Monday's win over the New York Mets. Gattis struck out looking.

Brian McCann was on deck to pinch hit for Gattis in the 9th when Freddie Freeman delivered a two-run walk off home run.

Gattis is second on the team in home runs (14) and RBIs (37).

Atlanta announced that infielder Tyler Pastornicky would be called up from Triple-A Gwinett to replace Gattis on the roster.
