Former Pelham star Trevor Fitts named starter vs Indiana at CWS

Pelham High School product Tyler Fitts will be the starting pitcher when Mississippi State takes on Indiana in the College World Series. Pelham High School product Tyler Fitts will be the starting pitcher when Mississippi State takes on Indiana in the College World Series.

Trevor Fitts will be the starting pitcher when Mississippi State takes on Indiana in the College World Series (7:00 PM, ESPN2).

It will be Fitts third start of the postseason. The former Pelham Panther star has allowed just one earned run in five innings in this year's NCAA tournament.

Fitts is 0-0 with a 2.42 ERA for the Bulldogs this season.

Will Coursen-Carr is the starting pitcher for Indiana.

Mississippi State earns a spot in the CWS bracket finals with a win over the Hoosiers

The Bulldogs beat Oregon State, 5-4 to open their play in Omaha.
