Cajun Burger with Seasoned Sweet Potato Fries
1 (28-ounce) bag seasoned sweet potato fries
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 1/4 pounds ground beef (can substitute ground turkey)
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
½ teaspoon smoky paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 onion buns
4 slices of pepper jack cheese
Optional: 1 green (or yellow) pepper and 1 medium red onion (sautéed in tablespoon of butter till softened)
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1 scallion, finely chopped
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
FRIES: In large bowl combine all ingredients and toss until fries are well coated. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until crispy.
In small bowl combine all ingredients and mix until blended. Set aside.
Preheat a grill pan over medium-high heat.
In a bowl mix together the ground beef, seasoning, paprika and form into patties. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Reduce heat to medium and cook patties for 5 to 7 minutes per side or until cooked through.
For the last 3 minutes, add the pepper jack cheese on each burger. Serve hot on buns with all toppings!
