Update:

Two of the three Texas juveniles wanted in Tuscaloosa for stealing a vehicle Friday are in police custody, the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office reports.

Law enforcement continues to search for the third suspect, a 16-year-old white male, who was last seen at around 1 p.m. attempting to cross Highway 140 at the creek near Hwy. 82. He is reported to be around 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighs between 160 and 165 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and may be wearing a black v-neck t-shirt with white stripes, black shorts and black steel-toed boots. The suspect is possibly armed.

A Hispanic male and female were apprehended by deputies Saturday with the assistance of the Tuscaloosa Police Department Aviation Unit, the Northport Police Department and Alabama State Troopers.

Chief Ronald Abernathy is urging the public to be good witnesses, but asks that they call 911 immediately should they encounter him. Do not approach or engage the suspect.

"Chief Abernathy reminds you to See Something; Say Something. You are our eyes and ears." the news release states.

Deputies in Tuscaloosa are searching for three out-of-state juveniles wanted in connection to a stolen vehicle in Northport and other crimes in Texas.

The three suspects, all from Texas, were involved in an accident in the 17000 block of Romulus Road shortly before 2 p.m. Friday. Following the wreck, the trio attempted to steal a vehicle owned by a concerned citizen who had stopped to offer his assistance to the victims. The citizen thwarted their attempt then immediately called 911.

Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived at the scene and determined the suspects had stolen the wrecked vehicle from a Lowe's parking lot in Northport earlier in the day. They also learned that the three juveniles were wanted in Texas for other crimes. Lt. Andy Norris reports that they are looking for a white male and a Hispanic male and female, all of whom are believed to be between the ages of 16 and 18 years old.

A perimeter was set up as deputies with a K-9 unit and a law enforcement helicopter canvassed the area. The suspects are still at-large.

Lt. Andy Norris is asking the public to call the sheriff's office immediately if they observe any suspicious activity or people in the area. You are urged not to engage the suspects should you encounter them.

You can reach the Tuscaloosa Co. Sheriff's Office at 205-752-0616.
