Exclusive: Mother of Victim in Child Porn case speaks

Posted: Updated:

"[I] would not give anyone permission to take nude pictures of my 2 year old child," said the mother of an alleged victim in a child porn investigation.

The mother, who asked not to be identified, said she's hurt that a family friend, Jerry Moses, would allegedly take nude photos of her young daughter.

"I've known them since I was little and my family has known them since my mother was born," said the woman.

70 year old Jerry Moses was arrested and charged by Anniston police for collecting sexual images of children.  He told us Thursday he started collecting the pictures several years ago.

"I took some pornography off of the internet...on the computer. And I did have possession of it but the thing of it is..I knew it was morally wrong. I didn't know it was legally wrong," said Moses.

The Anniston man told ABC 33/40 that the child's mother asked him to take nude photos as a keepsake.  In an interview with ABC 33/40's Larry Miller, the mother said that was not the truth.

"She[the alleged victim] was naked in the tub and being told..like every picture...there was a different pose," said the mother.

Medical examinations revealed the daughter had not been the victim of something worse.

Anniston police said they confiscated a computer, camera, and over 75 cd's and dvd's from the suspect's home.  His collection was significant, police said.  We've learned more charges could soon be on the way.
