It was earlier this month when 33-year-old Warren Gunn was killed. Detectives believe he was the victim of a robbery/home invasion, and Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper is turning to you for help.

"I'm Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper.

This homicide appears to be the result of a robbery/home invasion. Warren Gunn was at his house when he was killed. He was 33 years old.

It was Thursday, May 2nd. Shortly after 3 am, officers were called to the 800 block of Heritage Drive. Gunn had been shot several times. He was transported to UAB Hospital but died.

A man and woman told police they live in the area and heard several gunshots, but that's all we know.

Now we need to know what you know. We ask that you help us find the killer and help us make sure that killer never takes another life.

Just call Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777, and let us know whatever you've heard. If you're tip leads to an arrest, you can use that code number to get a cash reward. You will always remain anonymous.
