Crime Stoppers May 21: Birmingham homicide investigation; Jefferson County armed robbery

BIRMINGHAM HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION:

Crime Stoppers needs your help identifying a person of interest in a homicide investigation. The man, whose picture is posted to the right of this story, was seen with 22-year-old Jonathon Cole before he died. Cole was shot and killed Friday, April 5th at the Garden Inn and Suites on Crestwood Boulevard.

"He's a person of interest at this point," said Birmingham Detective Pat Green. "If anybody knows anything, it should be this guy."

"We don't have any leads or any tips at this time, but with the public's help, it's still not too late," added Green. "We could get this case closed."

JEFFERSON COUNTY ARMED ROBBERY:

Crime Stoppers hopes you can identify a suspect wanted in an armed robbery at the Hibbett Sports on Center Point Parkway April 27th. Detectives also need your help identifying a person of interest in the case.

Pictures of the suspect, the vehicle he left in, and the person of interest in the case are posted to the right of this story.

The suspect pointed a gun at the cashier and left with cash.
