Suspect makes bomb threat in attempt to steal drugs from Rite Aid in Roebuck

The Birmingham Police Department needs help identifying a suspect who made a bomb threat while attempting to steal narcotics from a drug store Thursday.

Sgt. Johnny Williams says a white male, wearing a surgical mask, entered the Rite Aid located in the 9100 block of Roebuck Parkway East at around 5:20 p.m. and demanded drugs from the pharmacy. He threatened to detonate a bomb if the employees didn't adhere to his demands.

Shortly after making the terrorist threat, the suspect fled the scene without the drugs.
