Update:
ABC 33/40 has confirmed that 35-year-old Sam Foster, a promotions assistant at 106.9 The Eagle Birmingham, was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 459 North Tuesday night.

Released statement from Alabama State Trooper spokesman:

"A two-vehicle crash Tuesday night claimed the life of an Alabaster man. The crash occurred at approximately 8:50 p.m. on Interstate 459 one mile north of Hoover. Samuel Douglas Foster, 35, was killed when the 2005 Mazda Tribute that he was driving struck a 2009 Toyota Avalon, left the roadway and overturned. Foster, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota, John Boohaker, 64, of Birmingham was not injured. Although the circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, Alabama State Troopers say speed was a factor."
