April 11: Jeff Gordon Day at Talladega Superspeedway

Posted: Updated:

For every front stretch grandstand ticket sold for the May 5, 2013 Aaron's 499 race on April 11, 2013, $24 will be donated to the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation.

"This is a very cool gesture by Talladega Superspeedway," said Gordon Wednesday during a visit to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt on behalf of Talladega Superspeedway. "It means a lot to me that Grant Lynch (TSS Chairman) and the track would partner with us on our initiatives for so many young people."

"Jeff, like us at Talladega Superspeedway, has a passion for kids, and what he has done to help cancer research is remarkable," said TSS Chairman Grant Lynch. "Jeff has helped us a lot over the years to promote our exciting races. He's won a lot here, and Thursday is going to be a great opportunity for fans to show their support for an incredible cause, plus get some of the greatest tickets in sports."

From 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM Central, fans wishing to purchase tickets and have a portion donated to the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation can secure tickets at www.talladegasuperspeedway.com or by calling 877-Go2-DEGA.

A $24 donation will be made to the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation for tickets purchased in the following grandstands: Gadsden; Lincoln; Anniston and Anniston Tower; O.V. Hill North and South; O.V. Hill Tower, Tri-Oval and Tower Extension; Birmingham and Birmingham Tower; Moss-Thornton and Moss-Thornton Tower; and Talladega and Talladega Tower. The $24 donation is only for tickets purchased for the Sunday, May 5, 2013, Aaron's 499 race.
