Moussa Gueye says he'll transfer out of the Alabama program

Posted: Updated:

Moussa Gueye says that he'll transfer out of the Alabama basketball program at the end of the spring semester.

The Crimson Tide senior said that style of play is the main reason he plans to move on. Gueye said that he'll consider teams outside the SEC, including possibly Texas-Pan American. UTPA hired Alabama assistant Dan Hipsher as it's new head coach last week.

Gueye will have one year of eligibility remaining and he can play next season because he will be done with his undergraduate study and working towards graduate degree.

Gueye started 27 games last season, and averaged 1.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 15.4 minutes a game.
