Birmingham City Councilman and Airport Authority Board Member, Steven Hoyt, says he has been open with information to the public concerning the airport tragedy that killed a 10-year-old boy last Friday.

This comes after Mayor William Bell's Wednesday statement saying the recent information released about the free-standing display units, like the one that fell on the Bresette family, was unacceptable and there needs to be more information about how the accident happened.

The information released by the Airport Authority mentioned how to better the units, by bolting them to the wall and, in some cases, taking them out completely.

Hoyt, who met for an Airport Authority meeting, Thursday, told the media he has been very open with media concerning the death of Luke Bresette.

The Airport Authority Board went into executive session just after 12:00 p.m. All members voted for the session, except for David Wood.
