Damage ripped across the state Monday and the storm affected thousands. Many have insurance questions after the storm. We took those questions to an agency owner with Allstate insurance who's been in the business for 36years.
Pete Russell with Allstate insurance says there are a few things homeowners can do that can help save them time and money, like make temporary repairs and keep a list of lost items.
"Any temporary repairs are generally reimbursable, and that prevents further damage," says Russell.
Those who have suffered damage say it's very important to talk with your insurance company so you're sure of what's covered and what is not.
