Fairfield Police found a man dead from a gunshot wound in his car Wednesday morning, and investigators believe the victim may be connected to a triple shooting at an apartment in Jefferson County.
The victim, Brandon Menefee, was found slumped over in his car on Valley Road at around 6:30 a.m.
Fairfield investigators are currently calling the incident a death investigation and they are working with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office to determine if Menefee was involved in the shooting deaths of a woman and female child at The Park at Rocky Ridge Apartments. The two victims were discovered by deputies at around 11:30 a.m., along with a 5-year-old boy who was found suffering from a gunshot wound. The boy was airlifted to Children's of Alabama with critical injuries.
