Multiple people injured after car flips off of Carson Road

Six people were taken to the hospital after the car they were in flipped over off of Carson Road Wednesday morning. (abc3340.com)

Birmingham Police are working a single-vehicle accident Wednesday morning off Carson Road that sent multiple people to the hospital.

Rescue units were called to the accident that happened near 7th Place Northwest just before 10 a.m. and arrived to find a vehicle flipped over on its roof at the bottom of an embankment.

The extent of the victims' injuries is unknown at this time.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
