Tulsa Police Arrest Most Wanted Individual

    The Etowah County Sheriff's Office says an inmate kitchen worker escaped the Etowah County Detention Center Friday morning. 

One of Tulsa's Most Wanted individuals was arrested by police Monday afternoon on a felony warrant for robbery with a firearm.

Steve T. Verner was wanted out of Tulsa County on a felony warrant for two counts of robbery with a firearm. Just before 2 p.m. members of the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force located and arrested Verner near 6600 E. Latimer Pl.

According to a release from TPD, Verner has three outstanding municipal warrants for his arrest. Department of Corrections records show his previous offenses to include:

   Escape from Confinement

   Possession of a firearm

   False impersonation

He is described as being 5 foot 7 inches in height and 170 pounds. He also has black hair and brown eyes.
