PELHAM - AL -

Nathan Dahlen keeps a promise to educate people on the dangers of driving. "I want other people to be aware of this and just as frightened as I was when I first learned of this," says Dahlen.

It's said that people change because of fear. In Dahlen's case, his commitment was made after his two year old sister Abigail was killed by a driver that backed up and didn't see her. Now, he and his mother spend Saturday warning other drivers on the importance of keeping children safe in and around cars.

"A lot of times, things go unsaid but in the back of your mind, you know things need to be addressed and I think this is just a constant reminder of what we need to reinforce with our kids and our habits," says Ken Chambers, a local parent.
