Christopher Dewayne Taylor
A drug dealer and aspiring rap artist was busted for his illegal hobby after a Narcotics Unit with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office identified the man on a YouTube video.
Christopher Dewayne Taylor, 26, of Edgewater, was arrested on February 22 after investigators were able to obtain a search warrant of his residence with evidence from the online rap video, which has since been removed from YouTube, and other information gathered during an investigation into the sale of heroin, cocaine and marijuana in Southwest Birmingham.
In the video, the suspect was shown in possession of marijuana and cocaine, and other subjects could be seen purchasing and shooting heroin.
Investigators executed the search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of 30th Street Southwest and recovered an undetermined amount of heroin while arresting Taylor after he was found to have outstanding warrants for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a Probation Violation on a charge of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree. Following his arrest, Taylor was charged with another count of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
He is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
