Sheri Falk joined the ABC 33/40 morning news team in March.
Before moving her dogs, cats and husband to Birmingham, Sheri spent the last five years working in Hattiesburg, Mississippi at WDAM-TV. While there she served as the evening anchor and general assignment/health reporter.
The Mississippi Associated Press recognized Sheri six times for outstanding work as an anchor and reporter. She was honored for her coverage of The Mississippi Innocence Project which helped overturn the case of two women sentenced to 44 years in prison, after being convicted of aggravated assault. Sheri also covered the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Meixco and witnessed the 2012 execution of a 35 year old man convicted of murder at the age of 18. Most recently, she covered the February tornado that ripped through Hattiesburg.
Her Journalism career began behind the scenes, in her hometown of Fort Lauderdale, FL working as a traffic producer for local radio stations.
Sheri earned her Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. While in college, she interned at WPBF-TV in Palm Beach and WTVJ in Miami. Following her internship at WTVJ she worked in the production department as a floor director.
