Large identity theft operation uncovered during drug bust in Jefferson County

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit executed search warrants last week as part of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of heroin, cocaine and marijuana in western Jefferson County.

As a result of the two search warrants served on March 7, deputies seized several weapons, marijuana, surveillance equipment, currency, electronics and two vehicles. Forty credit cards belonging to several different victims were also recovered. Two suspects were arrested.

More information is expected to be released soon.
