The Etowah County
Sheriff's Office has scheduled an additional citizen's firearms safety course,
according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin. The additional course is scheduled for Tuesday, April 2. Classes
scheduled for March 12 and March 19 are full.
"The overwhelming
response from citizens has led to this additional course," Sheriff Entrekin
said. "We are pleased that so many people are interested in learning
how to safely use their firearms."
The course is offered
free to the public and is held at the Joe Ford Center on the campus of Gadsden
State Community College from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eighty seats are
available for the class and registration is required.
Since February 19, three
courses have been completed by 180 citizens.
