Governor Robert Bentley will hold a news conference Tuesday to discuss recommendations recently presented by the Alabama Medicaid Advisory Commission.
Governor Bentley established the commission in October with the goal of improving financial stability and patient care within Alabama Medicaid. The commission included healthcare professionals, legislators, consumer representatives and others.
Tuesday's news conference will take place at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. Governor Bentley will be joined by State Health Officer Dr. Donald Williamson, who chaired the commission. Legislative members and executive committee members from the commission will also participate.
