The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a stabbing in East Birmingham Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to the Kingston area on a report of a stabbing near the intersection of 44th Street North and 13th Avenue North around 4:15 p.m. today. It is unknown at this time if anyone sustained serious injuries in the incident.
ABC 33/40 has a crew at the scene and will provide more information as it becomes available.
Shortly before the stabbing call, the Birmingham Fire Department was called to a nearby house fire where one firefighter was injured while working the blaze.

A woman cut three Birmingham Police officers with a box cutter after they attempted to serve a warrant at her apartment Wednesday afternoon.
One officer was transported to UAB Hospital while the other two were treated at the scene.
The incident happened at a duplex apartment complex on 44th Street North and 13th Avenue North.
The female suspect has been taken into custody.
