STATEWIDE -
A Montgomery judge has postponed a decision until Wednesday afternoon on whether to continue blocking Governor Robert Bentley from signing a private school tax credit bill.
Circuit Court judge, Charles Price, held a hearing Wednesday morning on whether to continue a temporary restraining order that he issued Tuesday. The judge's delay is to allow him more time to consider a motion to dismiss filed by the state attorney general.
The Alabama Education Association is suing state officials to try to keep the governor from signing a bill to provide tax credits to parents who choose to send their children in private schools rather than failing public schools.
Court is scheduled to resume at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon.
Be sure to stay with ABC 33/40 on the air and online for the latest developments.
