NEW YORK, March 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Heffernan Insurance Brokers, one of the largest full-service, independent insurance brokerage firms in the United States, recently hired Brian Leidell to join its Manhattan office as Vice President, Professional Lines Practice.

Leidell brings significant experience within the global insurance industry to serve the brokerage community.  He holds a strong international academic background, including a LL.M. in International Business Law from University College London, a J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law, a Certificate in European Law from Tulane Paris Institute for European Legal Studies, a M.A. in International Relations from the University of New South Wales, and a B.A. in Political Science from Virginia Tech.  Leidell was most recently practicing insurance law for an international firm, where he also acted as a business developer for the London and Bermuda (re)insurance markets.  He is familiar with the diverse, complex issues associated with professional risks and readily addresses them with a global perspective.
