Fatal wreck shuts down all lanes of I-65 North near Jemison (update)

CHILTON COUNTY - AL -

Alabama State Troopers are working a fatal wreck involving several vehicles on Interstate 65 North near Jemison. 

The accident happened around 3 p.m. at mile marker 222. One person has been confirmed dead and two others are in critical condition.

We have a crew headed to the scene and will bring you the latest as it becomes available.

Update:

All lanes on Interstate 65 North have been reopened. Alabama State Troopers have yet to release the number of vehicles involved in the accident. A Chevrolet 2500 Heavy Duty truck and a Ford SUV were two of the vehicles in the wreck.

The status of the critically injured victims is unknown at this time.
