Trussville man arrested for burglary of Sherman Oaks home

    The Etowah County Sheriff's Office says an inmate kitchen worker escaped the Etowah County Detention Center Friday morning. 

A 38-year-old Trussville man has been arrested in connection to a Thursday morning home burglary in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood on Thursday.

According to a report from TrussvilleTribune.com, Thomas Ryan Weaver was arrested inside a home in the 100 block of Black Walnut Lane at around 8:30 a.m. after a neighbor alerted Trussville Police of a man that had forced opened the home's front door. Upon arriving, officers found Weaver inside and took him into custody.

Weaver, a suspect in several other burglaries in the area, has been charged with third-degree burglary.
