The victim of the fatal accident on Interstate 59 South today has been identified as 61-year-old Shelia Brew-Brown.
Update: ABC 33/40's Honora Gathings confirms that one person is dead after the rollover wreck on the southbound side of I-59 at the Roebuck Parkway exit. The wreck happened around 12:30 PM Thursday. It appears that the vehicle left the roadway, traveled over the embankment, landing on its roof.
Motorists are using the emergency lane as the lane of travel. Avoid the area if at all possible.

Emergency crews say a vehicle overturned on Interstate-59 South and Roebuck Parkway in Birmingham. State troopers have not confirmed injuries at this time. Traffic in the area is congested because of the crash. ABC 33/40 has a crew on the way and will bring you more information as it becomes available.
