Local elementary school awarded green for "going green"

Princeton Alternative Elementary School in Birmingham was now has $1,500 to use as they please after winning "Can Jam".

95.7 Jamz and Sims Metal Management put on a contest to see which local school could collect the most aluminum cans and other scrap metal to be recycled. Princeton Alternative Elementary weighed in a whopping 2,832 pounds!

Along with the large check, students got to celebrate their win with a party.
