Vintage finds are the growing trends now. So you might find a great deal on vinyl records, musical instruments or some electrical equipment at the Alabama School of Fine Arts' yard sale. ASFA students in the music department are hosting a yard sale on Saturday, February 23 to raise money for the music program. The sale will take place in the cafeteria from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Shoppers will enjoy the music of several student chamber music ensembles which will perform throughout the event. A silent auction will also be held for items such as a dinner at Ross Bridge and access to vacation homes. Monetary donations can be given during the sale or in lieu of a purchase, or mailed to the ASFA Foundation.
ASFA's students are hoping to raise thousands of dollars for items needed by the department, as well as to be able to perform for the public at the waterfront of Downtown Disney in Walt Disney World Resort in the spring. Featured performances will be made by ASFA orchestra, choir ensemble, and jazz ensemble.
