Homewood woman celebrating 104th birthday

Posted: Updated:
HOMEWOOD - AL -

Here is story about a real sweetheart.

Ruth Farley, will turn 104 this Valentine's Day.

Farley lives in Homewood and attends the Palisades Church of Christ. On Tuesday, the church held an early birthday party for her.

Don't let her age fool you. She still lives alone, does just about everything herself -- except drive -- and is well known for her homemade 'caramel cakes' that she brings to every church luncheon.

So, what's her secret to living to 104?

"Just trying to live a good, clean life... I have no secrets in it. It just comes natural," says a smiling Farley.

Church goers say that Farley always has a smile on her face.

All of us at ABC 33/40 wish her an early happy birthday as well!
