Family and friends gather at Clay crash site to remember second victim

Friends and family gathered Saturday afternoon to remember the life of 20-year-old Eric Corley. A deputy from the Jefferson County Sheriff's office blocked the road where the accident happened for one hour as people paid their respects.

Corley and four other people were involved in a one-car accident in the 6700 block of Trussville-Clay Road on Friday, January 25^th. He died from injuries sustained from the wreck on February 6th. Police say the 2002 Ford Escape that the group was traveling in ran off the road and struck a rock in a ditch. The accident happened just one day before Corley's 21^st birthday.

16-year old James David Shirley also died following the crash due to injuries. His service was last week.
