Two men are behind bars Wednesday after Birmingham Police discovered them in possession of a large amount of documents containing multiple identities.

Carlos Quesada Aguero, 38, and Filemon Ochoa, 46, both of Birmingham, have been charged in connection with a trafficking identity investigation after being pulled over for a traffic violation on the night of February 2.

North Precinct officers made the stop at the 1100 Block of 31st Street North and quickly took both men into custody after observing a handgun on a seat inside their vehicle.

A search of the car revealed the large amount of documents including social security cards, car titles, passports, WIC vouchers, car tags and receipts and blank pre-notarized DMV Power of Attorney forms.

Major Fraud detectives were called to the scene to investigate the findings and both men were taken to the Jefferson County Jail.

Aguera and Ochoa are each being held on $100,000 bonds and Trafficking Identity warrants have been obtained against the suspects.
