L.A. trying to recruit Tuscaloosa Sheriff Ted Sexton

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY - AL -

Long-time Tuscaloosa Sheriff, Ted Sexton is in the running for a new job out west.

ABC 33/40 has learned Sexton is being considered to head the Department of Homeland Security within the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department.

Sexton has had a working relationship with LA's Sheriff's department for years.

His son currently works for the agency.

Now, although Sexton is said to be the front running candidate, no formal offer has been made.
