Mayor Addresses South Tulsa Neighborhood After Four Women Killed

Posted: Updated:

Tulsa's mayor will be present at a forum Tuesday to address the recent slayings of four women killed at Fairmont Terrace.

Dewey Bartlett will discuss what the needs are in the area where police discovered the bodies of 23-year-old twin sisters Rebeika Powell and Kayetie Melchor, 33-year-old Misty Nunley and 55-year-old Julie Jackson.

TPD have yet to make any arrests and investigators have released no other details - including possible suspects, how the women knew each other or why they may have been targeted.

The Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office says the four women each died from a gunshot wound to the head.

According to court records, police have identified a man who "at a minimum" witnessed the killings at the apartment.

On Sunday, funeral services were held today for the final victim in the Fairmont Terrace murders. Misty Nunley was remembered in a service at Southern Hills Baptist Church.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
