JEFFERSON COUNTY - AL -
Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says, the accident happened in the 6700 block of Trussville-Clay Road around 5:15 p.m.
The investigation revealed that the 17 year old female driver of a 2002 Ford Escape lost control of the vehicle. It left the road and struck a large rock in an adjacent ditch. Along with the driver there were three males and one female in the car. Their ages are 20,18, 15 and 16. The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and the other occupants suffered serious injuries. All five were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
The accident remains under investigation. Conditions of the injured are not known at this time.
