At the Consumer Electronics Show, the Tech Guy got to meet with the creator of Node. Node is a hand-held multi-purpose sensor. It's built around a transmitter unit, which connects to your smart phone or other mobile device using Bluetooth. A variety of sensor units can be attached to both ends of the transmitter. They can measure everything from motion to temperature to colors.
Some of the sensors have industrial applications- but sensors for temperature and color can be used in many consumer-level applications.
To use Node, you'll need a late-model mobile device equipped with Bluetooth version 4.
