Hoover Police investigate shooting death at Ashford Townhomes

Hoover Police investigating a homicide at an Ashford Townhome on Monday, January 21, 2013. (abc3340.com)

Hoover Police investigated a shooting at Ashford Townhomes Monday morning.

Spokesman Capt. Jim Coker said one person was dead, and the coroner was on the scene. The nature of the shooting was not released. The call came into Hoover dispatch around 7:40a.m.

In a tweet, Hoover Police said "We do not feel there is any danger to the public. More info to be released later."

Ashford Townhomes are located at 860 Tyler Circle.
