BIRMINGHAM - AL -

Birmingham Police are on the scene of a shooting on Princeton Ave Southwest. Police responded to 2716 Princeton Ave Southwest at approximately 12:30 p.m. Neighbors tell ABC 33/40 a female was shot. It is unknown the condition of the person or people shot.

Birmingham Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in front of a house on Princeton Ave Southwest.

Police responded to 2716 Princeton Ave Southwest at approximately 12:30 p.m. to respond to neighbors' reports of gunshots. Birmingham Police Sgt. Cunningham says a female was shot multiple times by another female in the front yard. Cunningham says the dispute was domestic, as it began over a male.

The victim was transported to UAB Hospital for life-threatening injuries, and is currently in surgery. Witnesses to the shooting are being interviewed by police. The suspect is in police custody.
