Alabama Democratic Party Delays Opening of New Office

BIRMINGHAM - AL -

The Alabama Democratic Party has delayed the opening of a field office in Birmingham because of Thursday's winter weather.

The party was planning an outdoor ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon in downtown Birmingham, but that ceremony had to be moved in doors because of the weather. The reception that was planned to follow the ceremony was canceled.

The state Democratic Party headquarters are located in Montgomery.
