Trinity Medical Center Adds Disinfection Technology

Posted: Updated:

Trinity Medical Center is now the first hospital in the state to add germ-zapping technology to it's room disinfection process.

The technology uses ultraviolet light to disinfect.  It will be used in Trinity's isolation rooms, Intensive Care Units, and the Emergency Department to destroy viruses, bacteria, and bacterial spores.  Disinfecting a room will take about 5 to 15 minutes.

"We are committed to providing the best possible care for every patient," says Keith Granger, President and CEO of Trinity Medical Center.  "Xenex supports our staff's cleaning efforts by providing an extra measure of disinfection."
