It didn't take long for the Oklahoma City Thunder to impose their will on the Denver Nuggets Wednesday night at Chesapeake Arena. OKC jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back as they cruised to a 117-97 victory.
They improve their NBA best record to 31-8.
Russell Westbrook set the stage early. He poured in 16 of his game-high 32 points in the first quarter.
Kevin Durant was held nine points below his average, but he still managed 20. Kevin Martin had a good night with 20 points as well and was 2-3 from behind the arch.
The Thunder were at home for just one game. They head out Friday to begin a six game road swing beginning in Dallas. By the time this stretch is over Oklahoma City will have played 9-of-10 games away from the Peak.
Their game Friday with the Mavs gets started at 7:00pm
