Alabama's Levi Randolph sparked his team to a 75-43 victory over Mississippi State on Wednesday night.
STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Without point guard Trevor Releford, Alabama relied on sophomores Levi Randolph, Rodney Cooper and Nick Jacobs to overpower Mississippi State in a 75-43 win on the road Wednesday night.
Randolph led all scorers with 18 points while Cooper added 17 in the Crimson Tide's second consecutive win in SEC play. Jacobs added a double-double with a 16 point, 11 rebound performance.
Alabama (10-6, 2-1) finished the night shooting 53.4 percent from the field, and 8 of 13 from behind the arch.
The Alabama press forced 21 Mississippi State turnovers, and the Crimson Tide controlled the boards, outrebounding the Bulldogs 35-23.
Fred Thomas led Mississippi State (7-8, 2-1) in scoring, finishing with 10 points in the loss.
Alabama will look to make it three-in-a-row on Saturday when they play host to Texas A&M at Coleman Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m.
